The first step

Government allocation announcement

District wise funds are allocated from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to provide financial assistance to the destitute and elderly people. The matter is informed to the Municipality / Union Parishad through a sub-allocation letter from the City Social Service Office. This letter mentions how many people will be given adult allowance.

 

The second step

The list of miserable people is ready

After receiving the letter of allotment, the mayor called a special meeting on the issue. The quota of the people's representatives was fixed in the meeting. According to the quota, the people's representatives are asked to provide a list of eligible people in their respective areas within the stipulated time. The people's representatives have identified and prepared a list of such people in their respective areas and submitted it to Despace within the stipulated days.

 

The third step

List finalization

After receiving the complete list, a meeting of each ward committee is called. A 5/6 member ward committee is formed with the concerned ward councilor as the chairman. The list is finalized after the verification and selection is completed at the meeting. The list is then sent to the city social services office.
